San Antonio Waste Management Department is responsible for collecting garbage and recyclables in San Antonio. The drivers are trained and required to put the trash cans back against the curb where the residents place them for pickup. This does not always happen. The drivers are apparently too lazy to push that joystick just a little bit more to push the can back against the curb. When I complain, the drivers are sent back immediately to correct the problem. Of course, it happens again. You would think the supervisors would keep an eye out for this, but that doesn’t happen. Too many city employees have positions, not jobs. If you cannot do what your job description requires you to do, then you should be fired. Not with the city. Complain all you want, but the supervisors and their managers do not care. Call 311 whenever your trash can is left out in the street. Or, contact your councilman or mayor.
